I was lucky enough to begin my career in the very early days of digital content marketing and communications.
Fresh from a degree in Journalism and Media, at the turn of the millennium I was handed the opportunity as Content Editor, to drive traffic to the first ever website for high street bookmaker, William Hill. This continued with a similar Online Editor role with Victor Chandler on the Costa Del Sol.

Following on from that digital debut I moved back to the UK to join the communications team at Preston North End Football Club. I was soon managing the media department which included the digital editorial and also the premium content channel for audio and video. I implemented the club’s first social media strategy, including both Facebook and Twitter and also incorporated other engagement channels, such as Cover It Live.

After nine years at Deepdale I joined Sports Global and managed the communications output for their main two products, footballtradedirectory.com and footyinsider.co.uk. I developed the company’s social media strategy and introduced them to LinkedIn and also managed the email marketing campaigns to more than 30,000 subscribers.

Moving on from Sports Global I was appointed as PR and Marketing Manager at Lancashire digital agency Moshen. With a strong focus on digital content I managed the front end copy and blogging responsibilities for many clients including Robinsons Brewery and the artist Roger Dean. As well managing all of the company PR and communications I oversaw the outreach for a number of client’s smartphone apps, including those for The Premier League, The International Cricket Council and IMG’s star names Sir Steve Redgrave and Michael Johnson.
I was also Editor in Chief of a digital publication for the World Gaming Executives and Managing Editor of the Golfing World website and the Football 24 smartphone app.
