We had two new signings making their debuts, team spirit was flying on the Friday, everyone was feeling confident, we took that into the game, played some decent football and it was a really good result for us.

Young Ray came through last year, he’s a big strong lad, he’s got a bright future in the game and Dexter has already proved that he is a goalscorer and I think he is going to be a really good signing for us, hopefully they can keep playing well.

There’s a few youngsters come through at QPR, there’s Ray, there’s Shabazz, Steph Bailey, there was quite a few that Gary would have known from his time coaching the young players. Ray has got the frame, he’s a big lad he’s strong and he has done well when he has played.

We hadn’t won something like 12 games, it was nice to get the first win, the Gaffer said in the paper that he thinks that was a turning point and I think he is right because all the lads seem pretty confident at the minute.

There has been a lot going on behind the scenes for a long time now at QPR, even last season but I think it is all sorting itself out now. We’ve managed to sign a few players which we have paid quite a bit of money for and hopefully we can start producing the goods on the pitch.

We lost Dan but we have signed two decent centre-halfs in Damion Stewart and Zesh Rehman, that also gave us the opportunity to buy Dexter as well. Dan is a big loss to us, you ask any QPR supporter and they will tell you that, but on Saturday the back four looked solid and we managed to score some goals as well so at the moment hopefully we can going in the same direction we were on Saturday.

There’s a couple of us in the team, hopefully good times are around the corner for QPR, I’ve signed a new contract in the summer because I wanted to be a part of it and hopefully we can do well.

I’ve heard he is, the Wild Thing, he’s a bit mad Gazz, he’s a good lad, an important part of the team, we’ve got a good team spirit and he is a big part of that. I know that he is liked up there he is liked all round.

I saw him on the TV the other night, he linked up quite well with Nugent, we’ll have to keep an eye on those two. We’ve got a decent chance on Saturday, if we can get a draw or a win we will be over the moon with it.

It was a bit disappointing up there last year, we’d have probably taken a point before the game but the way we played that day and the last minute goal hurt a little bit in the changing rooms, we were a bit down with the point. This Saturday we would look at the draw being a decent result but we will be going for the win.

We felt we should have won that game, in the last 15 minutes we had two or three really good opportunities to win the game, one of them went in and we got the draw. That gave us confidence for Saturday with Dexter and Zesh coming in and on Friday the mood in the camp was really good and I think that showed in the game, hopefully we will have more of the same this Saturday.

I just play the way I always try to play my football, I like the fans, the fans like me. Every player has got their job to do and hopefully I can do aswell if not better than I did last season.
