It’s like everything else, there’s lots of speculation but we don’t want to go talking about possible enquiries that we have made and possible targets. We have made several enquries, we have made phonecalls to certain people, we certainly know about Jones at Crewe and about other strikers, for example Jansen at Blackburn and different people like that. We have been making lots of phonecalls but with regards to the speculation there is nothing that has took place and there is nothing in it as far as I am concerned with regards to this player coming to us, it is more or less enquiries that have been made and he is a player, there is no doubt about it, that we do admire and that we like.

It would be nice to announce it when things are done, what we can’t do is talk about the speculation in the papers with either players coming to the club or players leaving the club because it has been happening an awful lot since the start of the season and it gets to a point where we have got to really move on and say that until something is official and something is done then we can make an announcement. As yet all we can turn round and tell the fans is that we have been making lots of enquiries and with regards to our own players leaving the club, if anybody is leaving the club the information will come from us first and from us only.
